Why this camp?

Our aim is to provide empathy based education and resources to the youth of our city, ages 12-18 about physical and mental health, suicide and suicide prevention in an attempt to help curb these numbers. We plan to accomplish this through:

• rich and collaborative conversations with adults and their peers

• group and/or one-on-one counseling with some of Jacksonville's leading mental health counselors and accredited organizations

• daily, rigorous physical exercise with a licensed physical trainer

• small and large group sessions with partners from the mental health community

• educational field trips and adventures 

• engagement in community service projects with well established local organizations

• mindfulness and TBRI® strategies to help practice calm, regulation and secure attachments

• trauma informed best practices by licensed TBRI® practitioners
